 It's been a really long time!

It's been a few years since i last posted here, for quite some time i forgot I even had this Blog!

That's sad isn't it? Well, I found it again, and have decided that all that work and effort in creating it in the first place say's it deserves a second chance. 

I still Quilt, I still make cards, I still sew, I tried learning bobbin lace making but was hopeless at it. My memory is such these days that i couldn't remember from one lesson to the next. I put it down to zero apptitude, as well as a lousy memory!

Retirement has slowed down, the first 14 years was full on, I think i've finally gotten used to the fact that this is not an extended holiday! it is in fact for the rest of my life.

Travel mainly crusing has been a big part of our lived over the past few years, and hopefully will continue, though not so frequently over the next few.

I have great Grandsons now! Henry is now 4 and Charlie is 10 months and already walking up a storm. Parenting is so sooooo very different from not only my childhood, but also from when I raised both my sons, and even when my granddaughters were born. The two eldest girls one of whom is the mother of the two little boys, are now in their 30's, and the youngest is mid 20's and juggling work with Uni. Uni takes priority. 

Life takes some funny and at times not so very funny turns. I'm sure that most can relate to the painful realities of modern life. I feel that i'm so very blessed in my life. Yes there are things which are very painful emotional issues we have to deal with. Thats life.

In all the things that really matter, I have nothing lacking, I have a warm comfortable home, zero debts, food on my table, financial security, and a loving protective husband, who i'm happy to say I will be celebrating our 60th Wedding anniversary with next year.

Going forward, this blog will be sharing my adventures in life, my card making, my sewing, and possibly my reading. I love Sci Fi, I love Shifter romances, a long time favourite author is a Canadian by the name of Viola Grace. I have every single book she's written, well into the hundreds. 

I've already started on my Christmas Cards, i start so early because i have so many to make. I've made 42 so far. only another hundred or so to go.
