Wow! how time flys!!!

February 11th 2016

I can't believe how long it is since I last posted here.
I feel ashamed of myself.

The past year has seen me making a few large quilts, as well as some cot quilts for great nieces and nephews born over seas.

Having looked at my last post, I think it's over due that I post the finished Underground railroad quilt.
So here it is folks in all it's glory. I loved making this and learning the story behind it as well.

As mentioned in my last post, I went on to make a king sized quilt for my eldest son and his wife for their 25th wedding anniversary which was last March.

Here is that finished quilt.

This is laid out on my dinning room floor, it's easier to see the whole quilt if it's not on the bed.
the next photo is a close up. This is the first time I tried stippling.

In my next post, I'll show you some photo's of other quilts I've made in the mean time.
Thank you for visiting my blog.
